Camp Tecumseh YMCA Outdoor Center
Camp Tecumseh comprises over 500 acres of land adjacent to the Tecumseh bend of the Tippecanoe River. An extremely successful and well-established camp program had resulted in a waiting list for summer camp of over 600 children each year.
Camp Watia YMCA
The YMCA of Western North Carolina wanted to explore the feasibility of and develop a master plan for a new rustic summer camp. The approximately 870-acre Watia Creek Farm property, located on a remote mountainside, is the location and namesake for the camp. The character of the Camp Watia facilities was intended to be simple, rustic, and sustainable.
Frost Valley YMCA Master Plan
O’Boyle, Cowell, Blalock & Associates, Inc. (OCBA) provided site master planning services for the Frost Valley YMCA. Located two hours outside of New York City in the Catskill Mountains, and providing a variety of day, resident and specialty camps; retreat options; and outdoor experiences for school, non-profit, and international groups; Frost Valley serves as the flagship camp for the YMCA of the USA.
Sherman Lake YMCA Outdoor Center
The Sherman Lake YMCA Outdoor Center is located halfway between Battle Creek and Kalamazoo on a 200-acre site that was formerly the T. Ben Johnston Boy Scout Camp. It is a unique YMCA facility because it is the first entirely new YMCA camp to be built in the United States in 50 years.
