Karen L. Russcher

Landscape Architect

Karen is a skilled Landscape Architect who joined OCBA in March 2019. Her experience spans all aspects of the profession, including master planning, site design, project management, and construction administration.  She worked in North Carolina on large scale master planning, K-12 schools and university campus design. After moving to California Karen specialized in resort, winery, and Bed & Breakfast Inn design, office and institutional Design, and the design of many high-end residences in the Bay area of San Francisco. She returned to North Carolina to teach at the University of North Carolina Charlotte, then moved back to her home state of Michigan to share her diverse knowledge at Michigan State University. She has rejoined OCBA 30 years after completing an internship here; very happy to be back in practice and designing. 

Karen is a licensed Landscape Architect in California, North Carolina and South Carolina. She received her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Kentucky and a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from Harvard University.
