Camp Tecumseh comprises over 500 acres of land adjacent to the Tecumseh bend of the Tippecanoe River.  An extremely successful and well-established camp program had resulted in a waiting list for summer camp of over 600 children each year.  The Camp Board established a long range planning goal of having the ability to serve 50% more children annually than were presently being served, and determined the facility expansion which would be required to meet that goal.

OCBA was retained to conduct a two-day, on-site design charrette in order to prepare a master plan for the camp expansion.The master plan that was developed organizes the proposed facilities, and links the existing River Village area with the proposed expansion at the Lakeside Center Village site.Design issues included establishing a similar identity at the Lakeside Center Village as that of the River Village so that campers have a comparable camping experience in either area.
